We do not sell to puppy mills or puppy brokers

We do not use any type of cages for our dogs.  Our dogs live on 6 acres and roam free along with our livestock whom they live with and protect.

Full AKC and limited AKC is available.  Limited AKC states that you may not breed or show your dog and a spay/neuter contract may be required.

We follow strict AKC standards and would not settle for less.

We are members of the GPCA (Great Pyrenees Club of America) they are a great source of info when it comes to Great Pyrenees.

Beware of people selling puppies that use other cheap registries that do not require DNA testing or do not visit your home to check your standards.  Other so called registries only require two people to sign a paper saying your dog is the breed you say he is, so how can you be sure that you are getting what they promised.  With AKC you can be 100% sure you are getting a pure bred dog.

We also require a contract to be signed.  This protecs both the buyer and the seller.  There have been too many scams out there when it comes to buying a puppy. 

                                                  Windy Ridge Acres PURCHASE AGREEMENT

 This purchase agreement is made between seller, Laila Oswald from 70 Brigadoon Dr., Clyde, NC 28721 and
Buyer _________________  . Whereas, Buyer desires to purchase and seller agrees to sell to Buyer the described
dog upon the terms and conditions as stated in this agreement.  It is therefore, mutually agreed between Seller and
Buyer that Buyer agrees to purchase the below described dog. _                                                                                        I, Laila Oswald, take a deposit of the amount stated $_200_ on the puppy named above.  The deposit is a Promise to buy the puppy and therefore non-refundable. Deposit must be received no later than________________.   If for any reason the Buyers decides not to purchase the above stated puppy, they have one year, from the above date to pick out another puppy, otherwise the deposit will be forfeit and lost.   If there is no litter within a year’s time, this contract can be extended until the next available litter is available.   The full purchase price of  $_  _800_ plus $__275___ for shipping should be paid in full no later than ______________. Payment may be sent by Money Order made out to Laila Oswald or Paypal to windyridgeacres@earthlink.net.  No checks accepted.   Puppy will be shipped as soon as full payment is received but not before 8 weeks of age.  For shipping, flight arrangements will be made for the benefit of the puppy (direct flights, weather permitting, etc.).  If deposit and or full payment is not received by due dates, seller has the option to null this contract.

Our dogs are maintained in up most health by feeding superior quality foods and NuVet supplements which is powerful antioxidant that gives a tremendous boost to the immune system to prevent skin and coat problems and creates a defense against over fifty major diseases including Hip and Elbow dysplasia, as well as extending the life span of our dogs.  We highly recommend that you continue these supplements with your new puppy. A sample and brochure is provided in your puppy kit.

Upon your puppy’s arrival, the Buyer has a 48 hour Health Guarantee to have your puppy checked by a State Licensed Veterinarian.  If your puppy has been shipped, it has already been Vet checked and received a Health Certificate. Our health Guarantee states that the puppy you have purchased is free from illness and/or congenital disorders at the time of shipping.  If the vet exam reveals that the puppy has a heath problem due to illness/congenital disorder as a result of the breeder, the buyer must contact the Seller within 48 hours.  The Buyer must return the puppy to the seller at the buyers expense within 48 hours.  A written statement from a State Licensed Vet must be issued to the Seller at the time of the return.  At that time, the Buyer will be placed on a waiting list for the next available puppy.   All puppies upon leaving our premises will have 1^st set of shots (6 weeks), or if puppy is over 9 weeks, second set of shots, and several worming sessions.  All information and documents will be enclosed in packet. You will receive shot record, feeding and care instructions and puppy kit.  AKC papers will arrive in the mail a few weeks following the puppys arrival. All puppies are sold as Pets with full AKC rights unless otherwise noted.  We do not guarantee the ability of your puppy to breed or show. We only Guarantee the health of the puppy at the time of the sale.

Upon purchasing a puppy from Windy Ridge Acres, you will also receive a health guarantee for a full year against Canine Hip Dysplasia and Progressive Retinal Atrophy.  If during these 12 months CHD or PRA  is diagnosed, buyer must contact breeder within this period of time with written proof from a licensed Veterinarian.  At this time our Veterinarian team will analyze the data and give us their recommendations.  If they are in agreement, breeder will offer a replacement puppy of equal value as soon is one is available.  No refunds shall be offered.  All medical bills from these exams are the sole responsibility of the owner of said puppy listed above.  If the period is beyond 12 months and/or puppy/dog has been sold or changed ownership, this contract has been broken and breeder assumes no responsibility regarding these health issues.  If buyer chooses not to continue the NuVet Plus Wafer, your puppies health cannot be guaranteed.  Once dog is bred, any guarantee becomes null and void.

Welcome Back Policy.  If for any reason you are not able to care for your new puppy at anytime and you have made an effort to find him a qualified home, please do not take your dog to a shelter.  We will be happy to rescue your puppy and find him a suitable home.
